Roman Zozulya: "The racist mold has no chance!"

Former Dynamo Kyiv and Ukrainian national team forward Roman Zozulya talks about the anniversary of Russia's full-scale attack on Ukraine.

Roman Zozulya

"One year. One story for everyone with millions of personal ones. Kilometer-long traffic jams and kilometer-long queues at military registration and enlistment offices. Fear that crystallized into unruly rage with every passing minute. No one knew exactly what to do or how to do it, but all this chaos worked like clockwork.

I remember only one phrase from that morning: "A full-scale war has begun," followed by a phone call that lasted 365 days. Armor, helmets, uniforms, first aid kits, drones, cars, ambulances, resuscitation vehicles and anything else our defenders need.

The day that divided life into "before" and "after". The day that painted the entire civilized world in blue and yellow. The day that clearly distinguished people from creatures. The day that started the countdown to our victory.

During this year, we have become truly unbreakable, but not soulless. And the pain of losing our best people cannot be drowned out. We will take revenge for everyone and return everything that is rightfully ours.

I am grateful to all our military, medics, rescuers, volunteers, power engineers and every Ukrainian who is fighting for our freedom. You are all heroes! The racist mold does not stand a chance! We survived together! Together we will win!" Zozulya wrote on his Facebook page.
