According to a source, representatives of the "royal club" are not going to attend the "The Best" ceremony. They believe that none of the club members will receive the award. Real Madrid believes that Thibaut Courtois, Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric and Karim Benzema will be left without awards, as it is highly likely that they will be won by Argentines Lionel Messi (PSG) and Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa). In addition, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti will not attend the ceremony.

The award ceremony will take place on February 27 in Paris. Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi are the main contenders for the title of the best player of the year.
