The English Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Liverpool was a tight contest, with both sides playing to a goalless draw at Selhurst Park. Liverpool had most of the chances in the first half, but were unable to penetrate the Palace defense. There were few chances in the second half, but there were a lot of yellow cards in play. Liverpool's Naby Keita and Crystal Palace defender Nathaniel Clyne were suspended in the 23rd and 26th minutes respectively.
