Tottenham's Olympique Skipp managed to break the deadlock in a tense London derby against Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League, scoring the first goal just after halftime. His shot was followed by a spectacular finish from Harry Kane that sealed the victory for Spurs, who deservedly won 2-0. The first half of the match passed at a slow pace. Both teams fought tactically with few chances. It was a physical struggle as well, with the referee issuing a flurry of yellow cards, three of which went to Chelsea players K. Havertz, H. Ziech and M. Mount. Tottenham's Emerson Royal was also sent off in the first half. After the break, things got better for Tottenham when T. Silva was substituted for V. Fofana in the Chelsea squad on 19 minutes of the second half.
О. Skipp was given space to make a breakthrough which gave him the opportunity to send his powerful shot just over the Chelsea goalkeeper - 1-0. While Chelsea were frantically looking for an opportunity to level the score, Tottenham were firmly defending and managed to stop any real threat from the Blues, who had to replace H. Ziyech and R. Loftus-Cheek with D. Zakaria and M. Mount. Tottenham were more assertive offensively, breaking down Chelsea's reorganized defensive line far more frequently, and eventually earning a penalty after Ben Davies fouled in the penalty area. Harry Kane struck from the spot and secured the win for Spurs with just over 10 minutes left in the game. As time went on, both teams made their final substitutions. Tottenham replaced D. Kulusevski with Son Heung-Min while Chelsea replaced the trio of Joao Felix, R. Sterling and M. Mudryk with M. Mount, P. Aubameyang and P. Porro. In the end, Tottenham took all three points with a convincing 2-0 win.
