- "The decision was difficult because Milan was a family where we were friends, including the leaders of the club. It was difficult to leave this place, but I needed new challenges and I had the courage to demonstrate that I could be an important player at another club. It was a personal challenge.

Berlusconi: He was always with the team. He was fantastic as president of the club and in everything he did with the team. I can only thank him because those ten years were a very happy time for me," said Andrea Pirlo.
