Fans may be allowed to attend matches of the spring part of the championship of Ukraine

It is possible that the matches of the spring part of the Ukrainian championship season 2022/23, which resumes this week after a winter break, will be held in the presence of fans in the stands. This was announced by UAF president Andriy Pavelko.

"On the initiative and at the request of the clubs, the UAF is now engaged in a dialogue with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the regional military administrations to implement the possibility of limited admission of fans to the stands. First and foremost, these may be soldiers who have been injured and need social rehabilitation because of the soccer of their favorite teams. But they are not the only ones.

Theaters, cinemas and concert halls are operating in a full-scale war. Why a limited number of spectators (with strict adherence to appropriate safety protocol) cannot watch a soccer match?

Of course, the options of fans' admission to matches are considered only in those stadiums where there are appropriate conditions for this, in particular, a sufficient number of seats in the shelters. In addition, the implementation of this idea is possible only if the club organizing the match receives permission from the relevant regional military administration and law enforcement agencies", Pavelko wrote on his page on Facebook.
