The Catalans' management discussed the possible transfer of the 23-year-old footballer with the Citizens' representatives. The Argentine is dissatisfied with his playing time at the Etihad, so the player informed the club's owners that he would like to go on loan.
It will be recalled that Alvarez's current contract with City runs until June 2027. This season, the forward has played 30 matches for the Citizens in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and making eight assists.
