Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann believes he deserved the negative reaction of the club's fans after his move to Barcelona.
"It did a lot of damage to the fans. They gave me everything, but in the end I left because I thought it was exactly what I needed. As a fan, I would have been very angry as well. This is what I deserved.
I became very humble and worked hard to try to change that. Those who know me know that I need a good relationship with the fans, I need their love, their support to perform at the highest level," the Frenchman told Movistar.
It will be recalled that in the summer of 2019, Barcelona bought Griezmann's contract for €120 million, but in 2021 the forward returned to the Spanish capital on a two-year loan after failing to impress at the Camp Nou.
