FIFA obliged the Israeli "Maccabi" from Tel Aviv to pay the current head coach of Luhansk "Zoria" Patrick van Leeuwen 517,457 euros, according to sport5.
According to the source, this is the amount of compensation for the Dutch specialist for early termination of his contract. In October 2021, "Maccabi" dismissed van Leeuwen, but refused to pay him compensation. As a result, the coach filed a lawsuit, which FIFA satisfied.
True, van Leeuwen will not yet receive the money, since Maccabi does not agree with FIFA's verdict and intends to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne.
