Ronaldinho's 18-year-old son Joao Mendes de Asis Moreira signed a contract today with Barcelona, where he will play for the talent academy for now, the Spanish club announced.
He came through the academy of Paris Saint-Germain in Brazil and then Cruzeiro. The heir to the Catalan legend joined the club where his father played from 2003 to 2008. In January, he passed tests at Barcelona's Under-19 team and managed to convince the coaches of his qualities. The young Brazilian signed a contract with Barcelona until 2024.
Joao Mendes is the son of Janaina Nattinelle Viana Mendes and the Catalan star of the early 2000s.
