There was a conflict between the head coach Yuriy Virt and the club's sports director Vyacheslav Shevchuk at Veres Rivne. The president of Veres Ivan Nadein called the situation a "misunderstanding", but transferred Shevchuk to the position of vice-president of the club. And Wirt, for his part, made it clear what the reasons for this very "misunderstanding" were.
"I understand that Slava has his vision and I have mine. But I am responsible for the result. Slava or someone else will not be responsible for the result. Therefore, only I decide which player to take. In "Veres" there won`t be the situation like in other teams, when the sports director takes a player, and the coach doesn`t even know him.
There won`t be anything like that here. Only I will decide which players will be in the team, whether to sign a contract or not.
As of today, all players who are in Veres are my decisions. And no one else here will decide as long as I will be in this team" - said Wirt in a comment on Youtube channel "Trendets".
