In an exciting Premier League match between Girnyk and Kolos Kovalivka at the Metalurg stadium, the home team won with a score of 1-0. In the first half both teams could not score a single goal and the score remained 0-0 at the break. However, in the second half, "Hirnyk" took the lead and scored at the 61st minute thanks to a goal by V. Vernidub. Kolos Kovalivka who struggled throughout the match, made two quick substitutions on 64 minutes: Vitaliy Milko came on instead of A. Markevych. Milko came on instead of A. Bogdanov and J. Isayenko came on instead of V. Lysenko. However, their efforts were in vain, because they quickly got two yellow cards: R. Goncharenko was cautioned in the 69th minute, and M. Kravchenko - in the 74th.
The disappointment continued when they made two more substitutions: S. Bolbat replaced O. Ilyin in the 77th minute, and E. Smirnyy replaced S. Myakushko on the same minute. Girnyk also made two substitutions in the 80th minute: A. Mykytyshyn came instead of M. Zaderaka, and D. Ustymenko - instead of R. Debelko. Kolos Kovalivka continued to go forward and made the last substitution in the 86th minute: D. Bezborodko replaced K. Popov, but it was too late - Hirnyk had kept the victory. The match ended with a flurry of substitutions: V. Yakimets came on instead of A. Ponedelnik at the 90th minute for Girnyk, and M. Tatarkov replaced K. Prikhodko at the same minute. Despite the tense struggle, "Girnyk" won, scoring the only goal of the match. This victory was decisive for Girnyk and gave it an additional boost in the standings.
