Ingulets president Oleksandr Povorozniuk told us how he played football at the amateur level.
- Do you follow the matches and are you satisfied with the team's performance?
- I follow the matches all the time. Of course, I am not satisfied with every game, not every result. But we love football because it is unpredictable. Footballers should understand that...
Sometimes I played myself, I'll give you an example. We played for the district and I constantly scored 2-3 goals in every game. To be honest, I was lazy. I never went to the penalty area. I stood in the center of the field to avoid offside, that's all. If I was charged, I would outrun anyone, run away at speed and score. I would definitely not play power football like now, when you need to attack and defend, for sure.
In one match against Bohdanivka, we won 7-0, but I couldn't score. The bar, the goalkeeper, point-blank - well, it didn't go in, and that's it. And then a penalty kick. I said: "I'll take it." I put the ball on the mark, under such adrenaline, accelerate, score... the referee whistles to interrupt, because I hit without a whistle. I was so charged up for the breakthrough. I interrupted - I spread the goalkeeper and the ball to the sides, but I shot past the goal. I immediately told the coach to change me, because it wasn't working. So this is football. We love it because it is unpredictable.
В другой раз Сашко Паровоз....рассказывал: " Виходжу я з під'їзду, а на мене п'ятеро...... Але ж ви знаєте, що на швидкості я втечу від кого хочеш..! "
