There was ambiguous refereeing. I don't want to criticize Kateryna Monzul - let experts discuss her mistakes. I would rather refer to the VAR referee, who did not pay attention to important episodes. Even if there was a push in the back, Popov should have grabbed the ball on the heel.
The support area made a lot of mistakes. Kovalets' team pressured them and made them lose the ball. When the team attacks and everyone is in wide positions, you can't lose the ball at all. Our support area made fatal mistakes, and the opponent took advantage of these moments.
The second goal was, in fact, a "twin" - a complete failure in the support area. In both episodes, the defense played very poorly, and the support zone made a decent "contribution".
The second part: Dynamo had their chances. If Vanat had scored, who knows how the game would have gone on. Substitutions did not help, the team looked bad. This match showed the lack of chemistry, the lack of play in the central triangle, our wing players play uncomplicated, they rode the rails like trams. We see that this is not enough even for the level of the Ukrainian championship - for an organized defense.
You need to be able to play one-on-one, create free space, and use your imagination. Unfortunately, the team failed in this game. In general, the team looked bad. Still, I don't want to push them below the plinth. This match revealed all the problems we talked about during the analysis of matches at the training camp.
I do not change my opinion, this team is capable of winning 70% of matches. Everyone will lose points: both Dnipro-1 and Shakhtar. Is Dynamo able to stay in the top three? I hope so. In any case, football is such a thing that in the next game everything can turn around and we will already be praising Dynamo.
Today we can state the fact that Kyiv failed in this game. Something needs to be changed. We need a clear program of action. We don't know what's going on in the team, but we can say that it is going through a "genre crisis". There is a rule in football: If the team wins, the players win, if they lose, the coach loses.
I respect Lucescu's age, but he needs to be self-critical and not blame everything on the referees. Even when losing 0-2, this match could have been saved - we were not playing against Juventus of Turin. I want to wait for Lucescu to take the blame, not to "move the goalposts". This record is more than ten years old. Therefore, I want to support the team, and I give Lucescu a solid D," Zakhovailo said.
