Nenggolan: "I was treated like shit in Antwerp"

Former Belgian national team player Raja Nenggolan spoke about his career with Antwerp. It should be added that the 35-year-old defended the Reds' colors last season.

- "In Antwerp, I was treated like a parasite. They treated me like a piece of shit. They appointed Overmars as sporting director to bring me back to the main team, but no one dared to go against the president. I was in the youth team. At that time, I supported young players with everything I could. I was in many clubs, but nowhere did I have such an attitude. I couldn't even enter the training center from the main entrance.

My daughters are the main reason why I came back to Belgium. Otherwise, I could have come here only on vacation, but I stayed for them. I lost a lot of money, but it was not a problem. The president of Antwerp kicked me out of the country, and I will never forgive that. I play for SPAL for a pittance, but with pleasure," said Raja Nenggolan.
