Former midfielder Paul Scholes defended Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes, who was criticized after the 0-7 defeat by Liverpool.
- I felt sorry for Fernandes. He was forced to play in other positions, he did the work of other players. He was on the left, on the right, in the center, and wherever you want. It's not to say that any of the MU players played like a MU player. It was not Fernandes' best day. But I think a couple of players just aren't quite up to the level to play these big matches," said Paul Scholes.
