Legendary Dynamo Kyiv footballer Stefan Reshko commented on the resonant appointment of Ruslan Rotan as acting coach of the Ukrainian national team.

- This step is anomalous. The head coach of the national team should be appointed not for one match, but for at least one qualifying cycle. This is the practice of world football. Unfortunately, Rotan will not be a full-fledged coach. We can say that Ukraine will go to England without a mentor, and Rotan will simply be the senior one over everyone...

Rotan became the first specialist in the history of Ukrainian football to simultaneously work as the head coach of three teams: the national team, the youth team and Oleksandriya. In this situation, I fully understand Ruslan. Yes, he is a coach with no experience, yes, he holds two other positions. But at the time of the match, he is the head of the youth team, so he has to save the national team. If he refused, he would have shown his weakness," said the Dynamo player.
