Dynamo U-19 head coach Ihor Kostiuk commented on the away match with Dnipro-1, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

- First of all, the game was affected by a very strong wind, which "drove" us closer to our goal in the second half. Because of this, there was no constructive play in our game and we failed to press the opponent. The players who played in the middle did not cope with this. There was also no control of the ball on our part to go through the middle. And, of course, the realization let us down, although we created two good chances, but did not score.
But it's okay, it's a good experience in terms of development. This is the second game for us after the winter break. Our main goal is to develop the players and have them learn from their mistakes.
- In the first half, we played cautiously. Did you look closely at the opponent?
- We understood how they play. But there were a lot of deficiencies, and the plan we had for the game - a quick transition from defense to attack, transferring from one flank to another - did not work. The opponent also had problems with our play through the flanks, but we failed to take advantage of them.
- In the episode with the missed ball, the Dnipro-1 striker closed the flank shot. Who did not keep an eye on our defenders?
- We will definitely figure it out. I always tell my players that most goals are scored from outside the penalty area, from the area in front of the goal, and we need to control our opponents there. But they are still focused on the ball and sometimes lose sight of their opponents. However, they are still learning and, of course, not everything is working out, so we will continue to work.
- In the last minutes you received a warning...
- The opponent's players made a throw-in in the wrong direction, the ball was rolling along the line, and I wanted to quickly give it to my players. I took a step on the field and got a warning.
