Alexander Shpakov— Oleksandr Oleksandrovich, what do you do in the conditions of war?
— During the war, I did not actively work, mostly we talked with the coaches of the "Dynamo" school, we shared our experiences. There are no problems with communication. As there are no complaints about his native "Dynamo".
— Do you follow the Dynamo main team? Do you think that Zabarny and Tsygankov were sold in time?
— Viktor Tsygankov has long wanted to leave the team and reach a new level in his professional career. But Zabarny is making progress and has earned a chance to prove himself abroad. Unfortunately, Ilya is currently still recovering from an injury and cannot debut in the Premier League. I hope that the guys will be able to prove themselves from the best side. True, Tsygankov proves from match to match in Girona that he is a quality football player.
For some reason, some immediately manifest themselves, while others attribute everything to the need for adaptation. Everything depends on the footballers, on their professionalism. I believe that these transfers will benefit the national team, because our players will be able to play in top leagues. For Dynamo, these are significant losses, but such are the realities of football.
— Do you think there is someone to replace these leaders?
— Now, a number of young football players are getting the opportunity to play for Dynamo, and everything is in their hands. It is important that they take advantage of this chance. If they do not play, then the Kyiv club will significantly lose in the results. Young footballers are unstable, so this should be taken into account. Youth and adult football is a completely different level. For example, Pele played at the age of 16 and won the World Cup... And who among us was able to prove himself at such an age? Unfortunately, a number of young players failed to take advantage of the opportunity and have now been loaned out to other clubs.
Currently, "Dynamo" has a lot of young football players, this is exactly what Ihor Surkis always dreamed of. Almost all of them went through the crucible of international youth matches. And this will help them in the future. It is important that they have a smooth transition to adult football. It all depends on the players and the coach of the main team.
— What can you say about the start of "Dynamo" in the second part of the UPL?
— Kyiv lost the first game. I hope that the results will improve in the future, but so far there is not much optimism. We want young coaches to get a chance to prove themselves, but everything depends on the desire of the club management, on their vision of the situation. I believe that Kostyuk deserved this chance with his work with Dynamo U-19. Igor knows the strengths and weaknesses of young people, he knows their potential as best as possible, because it was he who brought them to a qualitatively new level. He knows how to manage these players, because under his leadership these guys beat Juventus, Anderlecht, Benfica, Barcelona, Bayern.
Kostyuk's vision of football and modern methods of the training process can benefit Dynamo. "Dynamo" Academy produces not only football players, but also quality coaches. This specialist has gone through all levels of coaching - from the Academy to the youth team.
— Are you waiting for Rebrov in the position of the national team?
— Yes, I read his interview, I am impressed by his diplomacy in this matter - he is bound by a professional contract with his club. But this is also one of the examples that "Dynamo" knows how to prepare personnel. This specialist works very well at the club level and can fully prove himself at the helm of the national team. We can safely say that Andrii Shevchenko instilled in the national team a bright and, most importantly, modern pattern of the game. It is such a pleasant trend that young Ukrainian coaches are showing results, so why, if not now, give them more opportunities and chances to work?
