Igor Tsyganik apologized to Yuriy Kalitvintsev for his negative emotions towards him when he was the acting head coach of the Ukrainian national team. Perhaps the criticism of the journalist and commentator influenced the resignation of the coach.

"In the match against Italy it was decided whether Kalitvintsev will remain at the head of the team at Euro 2012. The team played badly and lost without a chance. I allowed myself a lot of negativity towards Kalitvintsev. After that game Blokhin was put in his place.

Kalitvintsev himself later recalled that he was strongly criticized by the commentators and he mentioned me. I want to apologize to him if he gets offended. Sometimes emotions take over", - said Tsyganik in the "VZBRINA" program.
