Souza and Choumi was replaced by Leo Baptistao in the 77th minute. There were two more yellow cards in the game: R. Eli and Leo Baptistao were cautioned in the 83rd and 88th minutes respectively. As a result, Sevilla climbed up the standings, while Almeria remained in the middle of the table. The fans at the Ramon Sanchez Pichuan witnessed a tense encounter which ended in a deserved win for the home side.
