Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen took the field at Wohninvest WESERSTADION Stadium in a Bundesliga match. However, after four minutes, Bayer Leverkusen equalized the score thanks to a goal by M. Backer. With the score tied at 1-1 at halftime, the second half held a lot of promise. On 56 minutes, Bayer Leverkusen took the lead thanks to a goal from J. Frimpong, but it didn't stop there. In the 83rd minute, A. Glozek scored a goal to put them ahead, and it seemed that Leverkusen would easily win the match.
But Werder Bremen fought back, and in the 85th minute they were awarded a penalty, which N. Fullcircle realized, putting them back in the game. However, despite their best efforts, they failed to equalize, and in the end, Bayer Leverkusen won 2:3. Both teams made several substitutions during the match: Leverkusen Bayer put E. Tapsoba, N. Amiri, S. Azmoun and D. Singraven into the game, while Bremen Werder had M. Philippe, J. Staget, E. Dinkchi and L. Buchanan. There were also two yellow cards in the match, one for each team: N. Stark and N. Schmidt were suspended for Werder Bremen, and O. Kossunu received a yellow card for Bayer Leverkusen. Overall, it was an exciting match for soccer fans, both teams put up a good fight.
