Former Spartak footballer: "Should we play in Asia? Do we have a choice?"

Former Spartak player Nikita Bazhenov commented on whether the Russian national team should play in the obscure Asian tournament to be held this June.

Bazhenov makes it clear that Russia is screwed

- Should we play? Do we have a choice? We shouldn't refuse to play any matches, we have to play. The more matches in the team, the better. Soccer unites and we`ll have to go with pleasure, it`s normal and super, - local mass media quotes Bazhenov.

Tajikistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan have confirmed their participation. Thailand and, if not, China might join the list. The draw will be held in May. The venue will be Bishkek and Tashkent.
