The match ended 1-0 in favor of Real Madrid and Liverpool failed to score despite numerous attempts. K. Tsimikas was also sent off in the last minutes of the game. It was a deserved victory for Real Madrid, who dominated the second half and secured three important points in the UEFA Champions League.
