The second half was a little more eventful: "Real Sociedad made three substitutions between the 62nd and 71st minutes but none of them had much effect on the result. AS Roma also made two substitutions in the 76th minute, releasing P. Dibala and A. Belotti instead of S. El Shaarawy and T. Abraham respectively. However, even with the fresh forces they were unable to break the deadlock. In the end, Real Sociedad's K. Fernandez was sent off in the final minutes of the game, receiving his second yellow card. Overall, both teams will be disappointed with the draw, as it does not give either side a clear advantage in advancing to the next round. Despite the lack of goals, the game was physical, and a total of six yellow cards and one red were shown throughout the 90 minutes. Despite the lack of goals, perhaps not the most exciting viewing experience, fans can appreciate the effort put forth by both teams in this tense Europa League match.
