The head coach of Kryvyi Rih "Kryvbas" Yuriy Vernidub shared his thoughts on how long the war of Russia against Ukraine will last.
"Before the war started, I felt that something was about to start. My assistants on the Sheriff coaching staff saw this and asked me why I was so sad. To which I replied, "I think something is going to happen. I had a hunch, and it proved to be true.
Do I believe in the victory of Ukraine? To say so would be an understatement. Because I am sure of our victory. And not by 100%, but by 200%! And I have no doubt that we will win. I think if our friends, our partners, the Europeans would be quicker to help with arms and not just talk about it, victory would come very quickly.
Our army is no longer what it was in the beginning. Though from the first minutes we were positive and fought as hard as we could. But now, apart from the enthusiasm and love for the motherland, there will be something else. The guys who are now fighting got a very good education. And in England, and in Poland, and in the Czech Republic. There are a lot of guys who are already trained, who already know how to fight and know what they're doing. To that you have to add enough weapons, and everything will be fine.
I believe our victory will happen soon. I had a feeling that the war was going to start. And now I have a feeling that everything should be over by the summer," Vernidub said in an interview with the Polish publication SportoweFakty.
