Ukraine's youth team goes to the first training camp in 2023: forced changes in the squad

During the March training camp, the blue and yellows will play two control matches - with the teams of Denmark and Italy.

Ukraine's youth national team, led by coaches Vasyl Kardash and Oleksandr Melashchenko, has left Kyiv for Lviv with an incomplete squad. There, the team will be joined by players from Shakhtar Donetsk and local Rukh, who played in the national championship match. Tomorrow morning, the blue and yellows will again take a bus to Warsaw, and from there they will fly to Turkey, where they will play a sparring match with the Danish national team on March 24 in Belek (starting at 15.30 Kyiv time).

After this match, the Ukrainians will fly to Italy on March 25, where a control match with the hosts is scheduled for March 27 in Reggio di Calabria (starting at 21.00 Kyiv time).

It should be noted that the injured Vladyslav Vanat and Oleksandr Syrota, who is ill, will not take part in the training camp. Anton Bol joined the team from the reserve list.

It will be recalled that this year the youth national team of Ukraine will take part in the final tournament of Euro 2023 (U-21). A total of 16 teams will take part in the forum, which will take place from June 21 to July 8 in Georgia and Romania. As a result of the draw, which took place on October 18 last year in Bucharest, the blue and yellows got into Group B, where they will meet Romania, Spain and Croatia. The top three teams of Euro 2023 (except France and England) will receive tickets to the 2024 Olympic Games.
