Shakhtar midfielder Georgiy Sudakov commented on the beginning of the work with Ruslan Rotan in the Ukraine national team.

- Who else but him? He got a result with the Ukraine youth national team. He showed good soccer with this team. He did something that no one could do for 10 years. Yes, of course, we can highlight the contribution of our team, but, nevertheless, all this was achieved under his leadership. Plus, he is the only coach in Ukraine who sees modern soccer, understands the players. Again - this is the logic. He was hired for a reason, it was supposed to happen that way. I do not see an alternative in his place. Yes, they are waiting for Rebrov, but his appointment is still not clear.

We are always in touch with Ruslan Petrovich. When you come to the National team, there is always a very good attitude. Me, Bondarenko and Kryskev - we have played the most games in the team, we can even say we were assistants to the head coach, because he wanted to build the game as Shakhtar did under De Dzerby.
