Lazio head coach Maurizio Sarri commented on the 1-0 victory over Roma in the Rome derby in the 27th round of the Italian championship.
"Of course, it's a shame that we are out of the Conference League. I think winning the derby is a bigger reward for our fans. For the coach, it means three points, no more. However, we are very happy that we made our people happy. I hope this will give us energy for the rest of the campaign," Sarri was quoted as saying by Lalaziosiamonoi.
It will be recalled that before the Derby della Capitale, Lazio lost to AZ (1-2) in the 1/8 finals of the Conference League, which led to the elimination from the tournament.
