France forward Kylian Mbappe commented on his appointment as captain of the national team. Antoine Griezmann became vice-captain.
"I spoke with Antoine and understand his disappointment. My reaction would be identical. If he wants to say something to the team, I will sit down and listen alongside the rest of the guys. Everyone can speak freely.
Griezmann is probably the most important player of the Deschamps era. We will continue to try to ensure that the French national team dominates at the world level," RMC Sport quoted Mbappe as saying.
