Ronaldo: "I am proud to have become the world record holder for the number of matches in the national team"

Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo commented on his latest achievement. The Euro 2024 qualifying match against Liechtenstein (4:0) was the 38-year-old's 197th for the national team.

"It's a pleasure to play and score for the national team again, and at such a special stadium for me. I am proud to become the world record holder for the number of matches in the national team," Ronaldo wrote on his Instagram page.
