In the 87th minute the Netherlands made one last substitution: Lutsharel Gertruida came on instead of Tyrell Malacia. However, it was too late for them to get back into the game as Mbappe scored his second goal in the 88th minute. The match ended with Dutchman Memphis Depay missing a penalty in the 90th minute and another yellow card for Frenchman Upamekano. Overall, it was a dominant performance by France, and this result allows them to take a significant step toward qualifying for the European Championships. The Netherlands, on the other hand, must regroup and come back stronger if they hope to qualify for the tournament.
