According to Diario SPORT, the owners of all the league's clubs held a meeting at which it was decided that each of the attendees would pay the Argentine a part of his salary, and the player would choose a place to continue his career. Recently, it was reported that Inter Miami is even ready to offer Messi a part of its shares to convince the 35-year-old footballer.

Leo's transfer is expected to help popularize the American Football League ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
