Hungary defeated Bulgaria 3-0 at the Puskász Arena in a European Championship qualifying match. The score at halftime was 3-0, and the game ended with the same score. There were several exciting moments in the game, with Hungary dominating from the start. Hungary opened the scoring in the 7th minute when B. Vetsay took advantage of a mistake by Bulgaria's defense to score an easy goal. Hungary doubled their lead in the 26th minute, scoring a sensational solo goal by D. Soboslai that left the Bulgarian goalkeeper in place. Bulgaria tried to get back into the game, but their efforts were thwarted by a strong Hungarian defense. Hungary increased their lead in the 39th minute when M. Adam completed a well executed move. The second half began with Bulgaria making three substitutions, releasing S. Delev, I. Markov and Y. Karabelev.
However their efforts were in vain as Hungary continued to dominate. In the 59th minute Hungary made their first substitution, replacing M. Adam with B. Varga. In the 73rd minute Hungary's coach made two more substitutions, replacing A. Nagy and R. Sallai with L. Kleinheisler and K. Xobot respectively. Bulgaria made one more substitution in the 57th minute, replacing K. Despodov with R. Kirilov. In the 85th minute Bulgaria made one last substitution, replacing I. Gruev with S. Chopov. Hungary also made two late substitutions, replacing B. Bolla with L. Nego and Z. Kalmar with B. Vechei in the 86th and 87th minutes respectively. As a result, Hungary won 3-0, an important victory in their bid to qualify for the European Championships. The fans at the Puskász Arena returned home happy after their team had shown good play.
In the next round, the opponents will face Montenegro-Hungary and Lithuania-Bulgaria.
