"Benfica" announced on its official website the extension of the contract with head coach Roger Schmidt.
The German specialist's new contract runs until June 30, 2026. Schmidt's previous contract was signed for two years.
The 56-year-old coach took over at Benfica in May 2022. Under the leadership of Schmidt, the Eagles are confidently leading the Portuguese league table and will soon play in the quarter-finals of the Champions League against Inter.
