Monaco equalized in the 54th minute with a goal from E. Ben Segira.
Shortly thereafter, Monaco made two substitutions: C. Enrique instead of I. Jacobs and C. Volland instead of E. Ben Segira. Monaco took the lead in the 58th minute thanks to a goal from E. Diop. They extended their lead with another goal from Y. Fofan in the 66th minute. Strasbourg made the first two substitutions in the 70th minute: J. Aholu replaced I. Sissoko, and N. Kandil replaced L. Motiba. In the 78th minute, Monaco's Y. Fofana received a yellow card and then a red card, reducing his team to ten men. After Fofana was sacked, Monaco made their fourth substitution, replacing E. Mataso with V. Ben Yedder. Strasbourg also made a substitution in the 83rd minute: J. Bellegarde came on for S. Prcic. Despite ten men remaining, Monaco managed to hold on to the lead until the last minute of the game, when Strasbourg scored against H. Diallo.
