"Manchester United announced on its official website that it has extended the contract with defender Luke Shaw. The English footballer's new contract with the Red Devils runs until 2027.
"Nine years ago, I signed with this amazing club and I'm very excited to extend my stay here. I have grown tremendously since joining Manchester United, both as a person and as a player. I know what it takes to be successful at a club like this.
We are at the beginning of our journey under a new coach and his staff. We have already achieved success this season, but we want much more. There is a great opportunity here to create something special and I will give everything to be a part of it," Shaw told MU's website.
The 27-year-old has made 249 appearances in all competitions for the Reds since joining from Southampton in 2014. During this time, Shaw won the Europa League and the FA Cup with MU.
