"I am incredibly proud of my players. It all starts with hard work, energy and dedication to the game. The team has taken another step in the right direction. It is only one point, but it is very important. I think the team mentality is getting stronger.

We were very shocked by the penalty. It is very difficult to play in the minority, but at that moment I thought that no matter what happened afterwards, our game was getting better. Later we scored a great goal," the BBC quoted Dyche as saying.

Everton's Ukrainian defender Vitaliy Mykolenko came on from the bench, replacing Seamus Coleman in the 73rd minute.
