A former doctor of the Lviv "Rukh" Dmitry Babelyuk clarified the nature of Sergei's illness: "Litovchenko was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, a malignant tumor of the lymphatic system. As a rule, at the first stages, it is manifested by an increase in lymph nodes in the neck, groin, or armpit area. In the second stage and subsequent stages of the disease, the tumor affects lymph nodes in other areas and even organs.
The good news is that this disease is well-treatable, especially in its early stages. With quality chemotherapy and radiotherapy combined with appropriate medications, the disease can be put into sustained remission.
