UEFA President Ceferin on the Super League: "There is no place for cartels on this continent.

UEFA president Alexander Ceferin again commented on the idea of creating a Super League.

"We are faced with rampant globalization and everything that follows from it. Conveniences and risks too. We must not forget that. There have been temptations and even attempts to create new models, but they are contrary to the European model, which we value very much.

Our model is based on sports merit. Merit cannot be demanded, it cannot be acquired. They can only be earned. Season after season. On and off the field. There is no room for cartels on this continent. I think we've all made that clear together," the official UEFA website quotes Ceferin as saying.
