"Right now it's not a question of working or not, it's a question of surviving. Soccer is trying to keep the fans, but in an environment where it is held without spectators, in an environment where travel is by bus or train, it is very difficult. But it's very important that people get satisfaction from their favorite clubs in addition to their worries. Soccer helps.

When I was invited, I said yes. It was an extremely strong championship, the teams played in European cups. It so happened that many players left, and now I have a young team with promising players. It was impossible to leave in such a situation. I did not think about quitting. Of course, there were times when the team moved to Bucharest, to Snagov. We trained there, then we went to Europe for friendlies. Then we came back, the championship is played under these conditions.

A number of players have families abroad, but there are other players whose parents are not far from the war zones. For now, it's quiet in Kiev. No more problems," Lucescu told Sport.ro.
