The sports TV channels "Setanta Sport 1" and "Setanta Sport 2" were banned in Belarus. The relevant decision was taken by the state authorities of this country, and the Ministry of Information of Belarus revoked the permission for broadcasting of these channels.
"Based on the decision of the Interdepartmental Commission on Security in the Information Sphere under the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Information annulled the permission for distribution of foreign mass media - Setanta Sports 1 and Setanta Sports 2 TV programs on the territory of Belarus," reads the statement of the Ministry of Information of Belarus.
It is worth mentioning that commentators of Setanta TV channels regularly voiced their position on the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which, of course, could not please the Belarusian authorities, who are known to act as supporters of the "lapdog" in its military aggression.
