The well-known coach Oleh Fedorchuk said that he is waiting for Chelsea and Mykhailo Mudryk, who moved to this club in the winter, in the near future. Experts also explained how Frank Lampard's arrival at the helm of Chelsea will affect the Ukrainian.
— What, first of all, will Lampard change and bring to Chelsea after Potter?
— I believe that this is a logical decision. "Chelsea" is now interested in those coaches who have recently resigned. Lampard is his pet, we can even compare him with "Dynamo hearts". This is the right appointment, because Lampard is an absolute authority, and the Chelsea players lacked that.
We can remember how Lucescu came to Dynamo. All young players gravitated towards him. "Dynamo" then immediately became the champion. Lampard now has only one task - to make the management believe in his coaching genius. Of course, Chelsea is the kind of club that doesn't take anyone forever. Frank understands that parallel negotiations are underway with top coaches to replace him. But this will motivate him as much as possible.
— How much will the team's tactical scheme change and how will it affect Mudryk?
— He will go exactly on the schemes on which his predecessor worked. I'll tell you a secret: in the middle of the season, when the transfer window is closed, any coach - even the most stubborn and dogmatic - will play the scheme dictated by the players he has. No more and no less. The only thing is that, unlike Potter, who played with a different architecture of the flanks and even molded a striker from Mudryk, Lampard will return to the wingers and this gives Mykhailo a little extra chance.
As for Mudryk, he is not yet tactically ready for the Premier League and it is not worth looking for the coach to blame. I don't see Mudryk in even the top ten teams. The speeds in England don't let you stop for a second, and he's only been here for the first few months. In Ukraine, the result can be obtained in 15 minutes, but in England it is far from the case.
— Will the coach, who temporarily fulfills his duties, risk putting the young ones?
— Lampard will fight for himself. Those who do not fight for their future in sports are not athletes. In this regard, he will be selfish, because he got a second chance to work in a top club. Young? And what is youth for a top club? Enzo is young, but he is already a world champion and not a first-time legionnaire.
— The fact that Lampard was interested in the possibility of inviting him to "Everton" can help Mudrik?
— Believe me, coaches are not always involved in selection in top clubs. The scouting department takes responsibility for screening such young footballers. At that time, Mudryk did not even particularly play. He played only for the youth teams of the national team. Therefore, I do not think that it will have any effect.
— How bad can this season end for Chelsea?
— In order to look into the future, one must find an analogy. The analogy is very obvious, Arsenal was in the same situation two or three years ago. They were shaken then as Chelsea are now. There were also very loud acquisitions, a change of coaches, and then, when the team stabilized, the results went and Arsenal is now the leader. My prediction is that this is waiting for Chelsea as well.
Chelsea will finish third-fourth next season and fight for first-second place a year later. Something tells me that this is the last season that will be competitive for Manchester City, because it feels like the players are a bit tired from the workload they have had for the last three or four years.
— Will Mudryk's fate determine the team's success or failure? Relatively speaking, if "Chelsea" remains without European cups, will it reduce Mudryk's chances of staying in the team?
— Paradoxically, success is easier to achieve even in an outsider team than in a club with big ambitions. It seems that Mudryk needs another year and a half to play at a lower level, maybe in the same league.
— If Mudryk continues to remain a player of the rotation and delays with productive actions, what should he do - go on rent? Stay and Prove?
— I believe that Mudrik should follow the path of Salah, because he developed on loan and only then shot. By the way, he also started in Chelsea. A wise man needs to be patient and work. He was also starting to get nervous, he needed to stop raising his expectations now.
This is England, here it is not like in Ukraine, because there everyone reveals themselves, there football players who played in average clubs are invited to the top. And in our country, you have to play in two, maximum three clubs to get noticed. For them, rent is not exile, but a chance. Therefore, the Wise Man needs to catch his breath a little, because he was thrown to such a height that he became starved of oxygen, to reduce the mental load a little.
— Can Mudryk win the competition? He got into the main team of "Shakhtar" and became a reinforced concrete player only when the legionnaires left the club. At Chelsea, he faced competition for the first time and will have to really fight for a place under the sun. Does he have these qualities?
— I cannot say which of us would be able to open up. Shevchenko came to England at a late age due to injuries. Nothing came of Yarmolenko. Zabarny is a big question. Rebrov completely failed the English period of his career. Voronin never came into his own in Liverpool.
But Mudryk has something that our football players do not have, he is very hardworking in training, stubborn. You can't tell by it, but it's true. There are positive expectations for it. The guy needs to lower his expectations and just work. He will improve his gaps in tactics, in tempo football - and will begin to realize his exceptional natural qualities. It will come with hard work and time.
