Ex-football player of Dnipro Sergei Diryavka recalled the match between his former team and Dynamo Moscow (2:6), which took place in the fall of 1991 as part of the last USSR championship in history. In that meeting, Dynamo striker Igor Kolyvanov scored five goals against Dnipro.
“Before the game in Moscow, we beat Metalist at home - 3:0. It was important for me not to let the team down in the first matches for Dnipro. Once with Shakhtar we played to zero (1:0, — ed. note), and then with "Metalist" they played to zero, which means that I did my job well.
And with regards to the game with Dynamo Moscow, everything then flew into our heads. Before leaving for Italy in Foggia, Kolyvanov gave us five. The composition of Dynamo was then decent. In addition to Kolyvanov, I remember Viktor Leonenko in that game, it was very difficult to play against him,” said Diryavka
