On Thursday, April 13, the Dynamo team played a match of the 21st round of the Ukrainian U-19 Championship on the field of the club's training base in Konchi-Zaspa. In it, Ihor Kostyuk's wards met with "Rukh" from Lviv. Despite the away status of the match for Dynamo, it took place on their field, as the first round match, which was our team's home, took place on the opponent's field - at the stadium. The leaders of the tournament table of the U-19 youth championship met, so the match promised to be interesting and exciting. The opponents were next to each other before the start of the match, and only 4 points separated them. The people of Lviv were on the first line, scoring 53 points, and the Kyivans took the second place with 49 points, although they played one more game. It should be noted that the match of the first round ended with the victory of "Rukh" - 3:2.
The air disturbance that began in Kyiv and the region before the match did not cause a delay in the match, as it ended 45 minutes before the starting whistle, so the teams' pre-match warm-up was also not affected.
From the first minutes, there was a lot of struggle on the field, the teams competed for control of the ball. Dynamo pressed, so Lviv could play the ball only in their own half of the field. In those cases, when the players of "Rukh" tried to approach Ignatenko's possessions, the Dynamo defenders intervened in time to collect the ball, and the attempted shots turned out to be unsuccessful.
In the middle of the half, the Kyivans performed several standard positions in a row, but after submissions to the penalty area, there were no threats. Let's note a promising moment from Diallo, who tried to close the far post with his head after a pass from the right, but it turned out to be a little inaccurate. In response, Stolyarchuk took a free kick, which did not cause big problems for our boys. The next potentially hot moment at the opponent's goal occurred closer to the end of the first half of the meeting: first Gereta saved his team by playing well on the way out, and then our footballer was a little lacking in accuracy.
Ignateko was also not idle: after a corner kick and Teslyuk's kick, our goalkeeper reliably took the ball away. So the teams went into the break with no goals scored.
The second half began with Balaba's dangerous low kick into the goal area, with the goalkeeper in place. Rukh responded with a free-kick from Kitela - above. At one of the moments, the people of Kyiv made a great run on the counterattack, Benedyuk outplayed Yatsik in a touch and aimed at the far corner - the ball caught one of the defenders and flew to the corner. A few minutes later, Gorbach almost scored after a great pass from Gusev from the right, but he just missed the ball, which flew past the crossbar. And soon, Yatsik somehow miraculously did not hit the goal from the penalty area - after the ricochet, the Kyivans only won the right to a corner kick.
Before the final whistle, Dynamo created a few more good chances, but each time Dynamo missed just a little bit, the ball flew just a few centimeters from the post. Standard positions did not lead to a goal either, so despite all the efforts of our team, the match ended goalless - 0:0.
