An unnamed English Premier League player has been cleared of pedophilia suspicions, tallSPORT reports.
As a reminder, the alleged pedophile, whose name cannot be disclosed to the press for legal reasons, was arrested by police at his home in Manchester in July 2021.
The player, who is married, was immediately suspended by his club and was free until recently thanks to bail.
However, following an investigation, Manchester police decided not to press charges. Thus, the player was cleared of all suspicion of a sexual offense.
The 33-year-old is now a free agent. His contract with an EPL club - probably Everton - expired last year. The British media assume that this player was Gylfi Sigurdsson.
