- We knew that Shakhtar had also lost points and understood that they would be doubly motivated for our match, as they needed a win to stay ahead of us in the standings. So we were seriously preparing for this match, practicing various components throughout the week. I would like to note that the loss of Horbach, who received a red card the day before, was significant for us. The coach said that I would play up front, and I'm happy that we managed to win.
- Is the striker's position familiar to you, because you even played it at the training camp?
- It is true. I feel comfortable in this position, there are no problems at all.
- Tell us about your goal. At first you missed the ball, but then you fought and scored?
- We played the ball away from the goal, there was a pass, I latched onto the ball, played into the wall with Diallo, we turned the attack to the other flank, there was a cross, I didn't reach it a bit, but I was the first to react when the ball flew away from the Shakhtar defender and scored, so to speak, into the empty net.
- In general, did Samba Diallo's presence help today? After all, he scored a masterpiece goal, which became a turning point.
- Yes, if Samba hadn't joined the team so well before, today he played a very good game. The coaches gave him some tips in the first half, and he played a masterpiece in the second half.
- You conceded two almost identical goals from set pieces. At those moments, did someone personally miss the opponents?
- We were preparing for the fact that they would have shots at the near post, but we didn't finalize it a bit. We didn't play to the end with our players.
- Now the gap with Rukh is still considerable, do we need to score points and hope that Lviv will lose them?
- Yes, we do. We are now behind them, but we hope that they will lose points. We will win every game and wait for them to misfire.
- Matches with Shakhtar often turn out to be spectacular and colorful. Did you have to get a little nervous when Dynamo's advantage was minimal?
- In principle, we played the first half calmly until the break. But when we conceded at the beginning of the second half, yes, we were a little nervous. However, then we calmed down, took the game into our own hands and achieved the result.
