Yuri Maksimov: "Under no circumstances will I work as a head coach of Polesie in the future

The famous Ukrainian coach Yuriy Maksimov commented on his on his appointment as sports director "Poles'ka". According to him, he will not apply for the coaching post of the Zhytomyr team.

- How did your negotiations with the management of "Polesie" go?

- I met with the president of FC "Polesie" Gennadiy Butkevich. We discussed many issues of the club and its development in the near future. I accepted the invitation, which I got from Gennadiy Budkevich.

The first thing I want to say - under no circumstances will I work as a head coach of "Polesia" in the future. I know that Gennady Butkevich supported Yuriy Kalitvintsev as a head coach. I want to dot all the i's and cross all the t's.

The work as the sport director is a new challenge for me. I`ve been working as a head coach for many years and in the future we may take this job again, but not at Polesye.

- What will be your job description?

- I was appointed sports director of the club and I will be responsible for the sports part of the club: the selection of the first team, monitoring of the U-19 team, education of children in the club's youth academy.

- What tasks set by the club`s president?

- We all have to achieve the winning result. "Polesie" has to go to the Premier League and be on top there.

- Next Sunday, "Poles'e" will take "Obolon" in the central match of the 3rd matchday of the final part of the championship of Ukraine. Will you be present at this game?

- Of course. Ahead is the most important game against our pursuer.
