In the 86th minute, Metalist's A. Ralyuchenko got a yellow card, and Felipe Rodriguez got a yellow card for Vorskla Poltava in the compensatory time. Despite a late onslaught by Metal Metalist Kharkiv, Vorskla Poltava held on for a 3-2 win. Both teams put on an entertaining performance, with both sides showing fighting spirit throughout the game.
