Bernd Noendorf, president of the German Football Association, commented on the contract for a friendly match with the Ukraine national team, which will be the 1000th match in the history of the German national team.
- 1000 international matches is a history that we want to celebrate the game of peace. Our team has played many important matches in its biography. By playing our 1,000th international match in friendship with Ukraine, we clearly demonstrate that the soccer family stands strong with our Ukrainian friends. We are proud to celebrate this anniversary with and for Ukraine," Noendorf said.
